CHICAGO – Ali Quigley won the WNBA 3-point tournament for a record fourth time on Saturday and reached a perfect final together.
On the way to the finals, Quigley easily defeated Washington Mystics guard Ariel Atkins and Atlanta Dream guard Ryan Howard. Quickley scored 30 after Atkins scored 21 and Howard 14.
It was a beautiful win for Quigley at nearby Juliet, who played college ball at DePaul and helped Chicago Sky win the WNBA Championship last season. Sky teammate Candace Parker cheered him on in the Quigley DePaul jersey, and Quigley’s wife, Courtney Wanderslot, another Sky Guard, also applauded in courtesy.
New York Liberty defenders Sabrina Ionescu and Zoe Brooks, a point guard in New Jersey, committed to the state of North Carolina, won the skills challenge together. Ionescu and Brooks defeated Indiana Fever forward Nalisa Smith and Texas prep point guard Victoria Flores in the final.
In the Skill Challenge format, the WNBA player was paired with a player from the Elite Youth Basketball League who competed for a full-court obstacle course at the 2022 Nike National.
