WWE NXT 2.0: Major Heel Turn in Main Event; Set the title match for next week

This week’s WWE NXT 2.0 began with Perez being attacked in a parking lot when she entered a WWE performance one night to challenge WWE NXT women’s champion Mandy Rose.

The attack was believed to have been planned by Rose and her toxic attraction partner, former WWE women’s tag team champions Gigi Dolin and Jesse Zen, but this has not been confirmed.

Before the main tournament championship match, Rose cut a promo to address the audience, that Perez is not a woman enough to recover from an injury and compete. Jade stepped forward and wanted to fight on behalf of her partner and spoke the following words:

“Your night is not over yet, because she was promised an NXT Women’s Championship match, and that’s what she’s going to get. If Roxanne can’t go, I’ll come in and take that women’s championship from you.

Eventually, Perez arrived at the scene and competed for a near-victory in the match after beating Rose with his pop rock finisher outside the ring.

When the referee was distracted, Jade suddenly blinded Perez with the championship belt. Rose took advantage of unprecedented help with pumping knee-strikes to win the pin-fall.

After the match, Jade admitted to attacking Perez that night. Notably, Jade’s turn-on came a week after Jade and Perez won the WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship from Gigi Dolin and Jesse Zen in the episode WWE NXT: The Great American Bash.

Next week’s episode of NXT 2.0 will also feature a stacked card with a title match that will serve as the main event of the night. NXT UK tag team champions Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen will defend their title against Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson) after the two teams clash backstage.

There was an in-ring match between JD McDonagh and Cameron Grimes this week and both were expected to enter the first match. Moreover, Joe Gassi will make an interesting debut, revealing the identity of his masked followers known as The Diodes.

Here are the confirmed matching cards for the July 19 episode of WWE NXT 2.0:

– WWE NXT UK Tag Team Championship Match:
Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen vs. Pretty Deadly

– JD McDonagh v Cameron Grimes

– To reveal the identity of Joe Gassi the Diodo
