In the opening sequence of the June 20 episode of Raw, Bianca Bellar announced that her Money in the Bank original challenger, Rhea Ripley, would not be “medically approved for the competition” at the event.
Due to his absence, a new number-one contestant must be selected from a deadly five-way match involving Alexa Bliss, Carmella, Liv Morgan, Asuka and Becky Lynch.
Morgan was pinned by a superkick and Carmela emerged victorious. Following the match, it was officially announced that Malay would face Belarus at MITB.

The last night’s episode of WWE Raw also featured a Gauntlet match in which Bobby Lashley defeated three different rivals on the way to a WWE United States Championship match at Theory vs. Money in the Bank.
Lashley defeated Chad Gable, Otis (by disqualification) and Theory in a roll-up tactic with a heart lock submission. With that victory, the latest feud between Lashley and Thierry at the United States Championship in July will come to an end.

Roach’s match card also had two MITB qualifiers, in the first of which, Omos defeated Riddle to secure his place for the men’s money in the Bank 2022 ladder match.
Omos misses RKO’s attempt and hits Riddle with his two-handed tree chokeslam to win the pin. With this victory, the seven-foot veteran entered the first Money in the Bank ladder match against Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus.

In the second qualifier, which was also Raw’s main event, Asuka defeated Becky Lynch to advance to the 2022 Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match.
The Empress of the Tomorrow won after she resisted a manhandle slam with a big kick to Becky’s head to win the pin. Thus, she joins Raquel Rodriguez, Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss and Liv Morgan, who have already qualified by winning their respective matches in recent weeks.
