Kannada star Puneet Rajkumar, who passed away in October last year, was known for his charitable work and social causes. He was the brand ambassador of Chamarajanagar district in Karnataka. Puneet supported the district administration’s Cheluwa Chamarajanagar campaign to boost tourism.
Recently, fans of the late actor had sent a letter to the Chamarajanagar district administration requesting Puneet’s brother Shiv Rajkumar to become the district’s brand ambassador. Supporters of the late actor want the new brand ambassador to be from Puneet’s family.
In November 2020, a video of Cheluwa Chamarajanagar was released by the authorities. The video had the tagline ‘Land of Tigers’ and had the message of Puneet Rajkumar. This video has been made to promote tourist sites in the district including forest sites, religious sites. Puneet was actively supporting the government for many social development projects in his home district and Cheluwa Chamarajanagar was one of them.
The district administration aims to promote popular tourist destinations like Biligiri Ranganabetta Tiger Reserve, Bandipur National Park, Malamhadeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary, Barchuki Falls and Hogankal.
Shiv Rajkumar has also expressed his desire to fulfill the wish of his late brother if contacted by the district administration. Puneet Rajkumar was not taking any honorarium for supporting the Cheluwa Chamarajanagar project.
Puneet Rajkumar’s last film ‘Gandha Gudi’ has not been released yet. Puneet’s fans are eagerly waiting for this film. The film is expected to hit theaters in November.
