The accused female cyclist had returned from Slovenia earlier this week, while the rest of the team, including five male cyclists and coach Sharma, returned Saturday morning.
A SAI source said, “The SAI Inquiry Committee has already spoken to the coach and the female cyclist, now it will speak to other members of the team next week as part of a detailed investigation.”
A training-cum-tour trip to Slovenia was organized to prepare the Indian team for the Asian Track Cycling Championships to be held in the national capital from June 18 to 22. The female cyclist had informed Sai about the misbehavior of the coach. During her stay in Slovenia, she was so frightened that she feared for her life.
The case came to light on Monday when SAI issued a statement saying it had recalled the cyclist to ensure his safety. The plaintiff claims that the trainer forced her to share a hotel room with him, and that the accommodation was arranged on a twin-sharing basis.
YAI submitted a report to SAI on the allegations of sailors
Asked by Sai, the Yachting Association of India has submitted its report on allegations leveled against a coach by a female sailor during an exposure trip to Germany.
The sailor claimed that the coach was putting a lot of mental pressure on him and this is mentioned in the YAI report. The coach in question is a three-time Olympian and coach of the Indian Navy team.
