Riya Chakraborty was last seen in the film
According to a recent report, actress Riya Chakraborty has been approached for a script for a Bengali film.
Riya Chakraborty, who last appeared in the 2021 face film opposite Amitabh Bachchan and Imran Hashmi, is all set to make her Bengali debut if she believes the recent reports. On the actress’ birthday, Bengali producer Rana Sarkar tweeted to wish her well and asked her to come to Kolkata and accompany her. According to ETimes, the government said in an interview that it has already taken the script and contacted its manager. Allegedly this story is about betrayal.
The producer feels that the criticism is hampering the actor’s career and that he is not getting good offers in Mumbai.
Riya Chakraborty’s life took a serious turn in 2020 after the death of her boyfriend and actor Sushant Singh Rajput. He was accused of inciting suicide and was interrogated several times by the CBI, ED and NCB. He also spent about a month in jail but was later granted bail by the Mumbai High Court. A few days ago, Riya shared several unseen photos with her ex-boyfriend and late actor Sushant on his second birthday and revealed how she ‘misses him every day’.
Meanwhile, the Bureau of Narcotics Control (NCB) has filed a draft of charges in a special court against Riya Chakraborty, her brother Shoik and others in a drugs case related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Special Public Prosecutor Atul Sarpande said the charges against all the accused have been upheld as mentioned in the chargesheet filed by the plaintiff in the court.
The prosecution has proposed court charges against Riya and Shoaik for drug use and purchase and payment of such drugs for the late Bollywood actor. Sushant committed suicide on June 14 at his residence in Mumbai. Sarpande said the court would decide the charges against all the accused. However, this could not happen as some of the accused had applied for acquittal.
