In one of the largest residential apartment deals in the country, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has bought a sea-facing quadruplex in suburban Bandra for Rs 119 crore, industry sources said on Monday.

The actor has bought Sagar Resham, which is spread over 16, 17, 18 and 19 floors, a building in Bandstand near Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Mannat’ bungalow and Salman Khan’s pad in Galaxy apartment.

Oh Five Oh Media Works LLP, a company headed by Singh and his father Jugjit Bhavanani, has bought apartments in a building under construction after redevelopment. Sources said the deal has a customization component in which the builder will build four floors as per the actor’s preference.

Questions sent to Singh’s representatives received no response.

A stamp duty of more than Rs 7 crore has been paid for the transaction, which includes 11,266 square feet of space, a special 1,300-square-foot terrace and 19 parking lots, sources said. The price per square foot is around Rs one lakh.

Chauguni is expected to serve as the primary residence for Singh and his wife Deepika Padukone. Sources said they have been in the market for almost three years to find separate bungalows in Juhu and Bandra areas, where many celebrities live.

Last year, the couple bought a second home in Alibag for Rs 22 crore.

Sources said that at present, Sagar Reshma does not have big names who will be the neighbors of this star duo.

When contacted, Riteish Mehta, senior director and head (west) of residential services at real estate consultancy firm JLL India, said the price offered by the actor was in line with market trends. The property is priced at Rs 90,000 to Rs 1.10 lakh per square foot.

Mehta also said that many developers are buying old bungalows in the coastal areas of Bandra and Juhu, which is expected to relax the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) rules, which will lead to the supply of more apartments in the area in the near future. To be,
