Fox Island associate Steven Hemke described the final as a “dream matchup” between two-time defending champions Lightning and Western Conference Point Leader Avlanche.

Hemke said: “These teams have no recent history in the playoffs, which should be set for the best action on the books on both sides.”

Hemke loves the final experience and goal of Tampa Bay, which will be driven by the return of Center Braden Point, who was knocked out of the conference finals due to a lower body injury. Point scored a cup cleaning goal in the 2020 playoffs.

Nathan McKinnon, Black Capricorn, Gabriel Landeskog and Mikko Rantenon – all top 10 draft picks – high-flying avalanches – averaging a whopping 4.64 goals per game.

But goalkeeper Andrei Vasilevsky sharpened the lightning, Hemke said. Vasilevsky won the Vezina Trophy (top scorer) in 2019 and the Con Smith Trophy (Stanley Cup MVP) last season.
