Sources told ESPN that Leeds United are signing RB Leipzig midfielder Tyler Adams for a 15 million transfer fee.

Adams, 23, agrees to move to Land Road so he can meet again with his old manager, Jesse Marsh, who trained him at both the New York Red Bull and Leipzig. Calvin Phillips has been replaced by an American international after Manchester City signed a contract for the England midfielder.

If that happens, Adams will become the fourth signer during Marsh’s tenure, three of whom have previously worked with Leeds manager.

Leeds announced on May 26 that they have signed a 24-meter deal with FC Salzburg and USMNT forward Brendan Aronsen. The Premier League team has added right-back Rasmus Christensen of Denmark and Salzburg in the 9.5m zone and Mark Roca of Bayern Munich for around £ 10m.

Adams has been an important part of Leipzig’s team since joining Major League Soccer in 2019. He is equally adept at defensive play in central midfield and elsewhere. If he completes the journey, he will leave Leipzig after winning the DFB-Pokal with the team last season.
