Free-agent offensive tackle Duane Brown was arrested Saturday at the Los Angeles International Airport for carrying a concealed weapon.
Brown, who has been a five-time Pro Bowl player, posted खे 10,000 bonds and was released from custody at 11:32 p.m., local time, according to online records.
He is scheduled to return to LAX Superior Court on Aug. 3 for a felony hearing, the offense said.
TMZ reported that an unloaded gun was found in Brown’s luggage at airport security. He was arrested at 3.08 pm local time.
The 36-year-old Brown started all 17 games for the Seattle Seahawks last season, his fifth with a franchise, and this season he became a free agent. He was included in last season’s Pro Bowl as a replacement for the San Francisco 49ers’ Trent Williams injury.
Although Brown has dealt with knee problems and managed his practice work stress a lot, he has not lost a single game in the last two seasons. It ranks seventh in offensive tackles in pass block winning rates since 2018 (91.8%).
In the first round of the 2008 draft (26th overall), the Houston Texans selected Brown, who traded to Seattle in 2017.
