Exciting light contenders clash in the UFC Vegas 58 headliner on July 9th

Former champion Dos Anjos (30-13, fights Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) returned in late 2020 after winning the Fight of the Night over Paul Felder from the welterweight division at 155 pounds.

During his UFC run, he has had memorable victories over Nate Diaz and Robbie Lawler as well as Anthony Pettis to win the belt in 2015. Dos Anjos now aims to slow down Fijiev and continue his climb for a light-headed shot.

Emerging contender Fijiev (11-1, Baku, Azerbaijan via Phuket, Thailand) did not waste time in captivating the fans with his diverse striking arsenal.

He is currently leading a five-match winning streak with impressive victories over Brad Riddle, Bobby Green and Renato Moicano. Fitzgerald now has his first former UFC champion lightweight ready to move into the top 10.

Dana White’s rivals will face off in the series co-main event when Kayo Boralho will face Armen Petrosian in the middleweight.

Boralho (fighting 11-1 1NC, So Paulo, from Brazil) earned his place on the UFC roster last year with defeats to Aaron Jeffrey and Jesse Murray in Dana White’s rival series.

Brazil’s Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt made its successful debut in the UFC in April, winning a tough fight against Gaddy Omargadzhiv. Boralho is now aiming to stop Petrosian and remain unbeaten for 12 games.

Petrosyan (7-1, Yerevan, Armenia) defeated Koyan Kolev in the first round of the Dana White rival series last October.

The talented kickboxer announced his arrival in February with an interesting win against Gregory Rodriguez. Petrosyan now intends to become the first fighter to complete Boralho by earning another highlight-reel KO.
