A person familiar with the situation said on Friday that Liverpool had accepted a fee with the Bundesliga champions in a total package of € 41 million (42.9m).
The man spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the details of the deal, which has not yet been finalized.
Liverpool will receive 32m ($ 33.5m) for the neck, an additional € 6m (3 6.3m) for the neck and an additional € 3m ($ 3.15m) based on individual and team performance.
