Malayalam filmmaker Raju Gopi Chitteth’s inspirational story has gone viral

Malayalam producer Raju Gopi Chittith’s latest film Santa Cruz was released in theaters on July 1. The film is based on the journey of a dance troupe in Kerala and stars Noorin Sharif in the lead role. Recently, at an event for the promotion of the film, producer Gopi revealed how difficult it was for him to complete the project and his video is going viral.

Raju Gopi said that his film is the fruit of his hard work and he started planning the film with only Rs 5,000 in his pocket. The producer also revealed that in the past when he was running his peanut business, he once had a strong desire to make a film.

“My mother-in-law gave me five thousand rupees twenty-eight years ago. With that money I started a business. During 1974-76, I started a kaplandi (groundnut) business in Chennai, ”says Raju Gopi.

Kannappanunni was released in Chennai in 1974 and the ticket price was 50 paise. Raju Gopi was eager to see the film. He went 14 times but never got a ticket. He later got a ticket, but when the interval came, he left thinking of the end of the film. Since then, his dream was to make a film.

“I did not get any support from anyone and I did it all alone. Everyone questioned my ability to work with a fresh face. I said this is not a problem and my business is still there. I will do it for a living. I am the jack of all trades, ”he continued.

Santa Cruz has been compared to Bollywood dance films like ABCD and Dil To Pagal Hai, which depict stories of love and enmity against the backdrop of dance competitions. The film also features dance in the style of Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor. The story of the film is based entirely on friendship, love and enmity.
