During PSG exit talks, Thiago Silva appeals to ‘super friend’ Neymar to join Chelsea

Neymar’s future in the PSG has been speculated recently, with the French club ready to sell him if an acceptable bid is made.

Neymar’s former agent Wagner Ribeiro said last week that the 30-year-old Neymar wanted to stay at PSG to fulfill his dream of winning the Champions League there.

Chelsea defender Thiago Silva, 37, who played with Neymar internationally from 2017 to 2020 and in the PSG, has appealed to him to join Stamford Bridge.

“He has to go to Chelsea,” Silva told Globo about Neymar’s contract until 2025.

“If he’s going, he should go. If that’s the case, hope is the best.

“We don’t need to talk about Neymar’s ability. Besides, he’s a super friend.

“I hope this happens rather than just being in the news, but I don’t know anything about it.”

In recent times, Chelsea have been linked with another Brazilian, Leeds United’s Rafinha, but this off-season has yet to be spent in the transfer market.

After a long association with the London club, a group led by Todd Bohli changed ownership of Chelsea in May and replaced Roman Abramovich.
