The Reds are set to move to Asia as they prepare for a strong comeback next season. No wonder Jurgen Klopp’s team played a total of 63 games last season that they had the most and in the end they were tired. Klopp’s first task will be to bring freshness to his team and keep them sharp for a strong start to the season.
The pre-season is crucial in football, which is why managers like Klopp like to do their business early out the window, for which the Reds have already signed three heads. He has signed Fabio Carvalho, Darwin Nunez and Calvin Ramsay, while releasing players such as Sadio Mane, Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino.
There may be more incoming and outgoing in the next few weeks but the Reds are about to start their pre-season. Here, we take a look at their plans for the pre-season.
Pre-season training:
The Liverpool players will report for training on July 4 and then travel to Thailand for their pre-season tour. This is his first pre-season game to be billed as ‘The Match’ against arch-rivals Manchester United in the Bangkok Century Cup on July 12.
They will then face Premier League teammates Crystal Palace and Bundesliga legend RB Leipzig on July 15 and 21, respectively. The club’s side will then officially lift the curtain for the English season at the Red Bull Salzburg on July 27 and the FA Community Shield against Manchester City on July 30. The last pre-season game will be against the French team Strasbourg on July 31 at Anfield.
