Claims have been raised for the Tommy Fury boxing match against Jake Paul this summer.
Paul and Tyson Fury, Tommy’s older brother and boxing heavyweight champion, have agreed to pay $ 1 million for the August 6 fight at Madison Square Garden in New York. Paid Via video on social media over the weekend,
Originally, Tyson said in an interview that he trusted his brother so much that he would bet him $ 100,000. Paul, the award-winning YouTube star, responded in a video that he would accept the bet, but Tyson mocked Tyson, thinking he had made millions in a few years in a fight purse.
Tyson retorted on social media that he would raise up to 1 million. But he said he doesn’t believe Paul really has that much money. Tyson said he should put the money in the escrow and then give it to the winner after the fight.
“I don’t think you have a million dollars,” Tyson said. “And I’m not talking about crypto. I’m talking about real, US greenbacks.”
Replying to Paul, he said he would contact his lawyer and get the money “immediately” in escrow. He made fun of the amount Tyson wanted to bet on again, which probably means he doesn’t trust his older brother as much as he claims Tommy.
“World heavyweight champion, do you want to bet a million dollars?” Paul said. “You want to make a change like that, no problem.”
Paul then asked what money he would spend if he won the battle. Paul referred to the Ferrari SF 90 Stradale, Ferrari 296 GTB or Richard Mille McLaren watch.
“I’ll take your money and spend it on something good – though,” Paul said.
Paul, 25, is 5-0 as a pro boxer and is coming down from a one-punch knockout of former UFC welterweight champion Tyrone Woodley last December. Tommy Fury, 23, is 8-0 as a supporter and beat Daniel Bosianski by points in April. Tommy Fury rose to fame in the United Kingdom after appearing on the reality show “Love Island”.
