Mike Salinas wins Summit Racing Equipment NHRA National to take lead of highest fuel score

NORWALK, Ohio – Mike Salinas took the lead from Britney Force with the highest fuel score by winning the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA National on Sunday.

Salinas won the title for the fourth time this season and for the seventh time in a row, defeating Josh Hart in the final with a time of 333.58 mph in 3.706-seconds.

“It’s amazing,” Salinas said. ,[Crew chief] Rob Flynn brought peace to the team and everyone has a voice. I think it’s unprecedented and it’s great. We have the right to stay out of here and run against these people and we are here. This is a good thing because we have a great team and I am learning to drive. ”

In the 10th of 22 events of the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Season, Robert Height won the Funny Car, Erica Ander the Pro Stock, and Angel Samp the Pro Stock Motorcycle.

Hyatt defeated Bob Tasca III for the fourth time this season at the Chevrolet Camaro, topping 327.51 with 3.944.

Anders won his fourth of five races and his fifth this season. He defeated Aaron Stanfield in Camaro by 6.627 to 207.88.

Sampi defeated Joe Gladstone of Suzuki by 6.861 on 197.13, his first and 46th victory of the year.
