The All England Club announced the game schedule for the 2022 tournament on Monday.
In the tradition of previous winners, Djokovic, who defeated Matteo Beretini in last year’s men’s singles final, will play Kwon Soon-woo in the first match on center court.
Djokovic is set to bid for his fourth consecutive Wimbledon title after winning the 2020 Championship in 2018, 2019 and 2021.
US Open champion Radukanu has also been selected to appear in Center Court on the first day.
Radukanu will face Alison Van Uytwank, who is hoping to launch a successful campaign in front of her home crowd, after she was knocked out in the fourth round at Wimbledon last year.
And another Briton, two-time winner Andy Murray, will take on Australia’s James Duckworth in the third and final match on the prestigious court.
After effectively reaching the final of the Stuttgart Open this month, Murray will be hoping to improve in last year’s third-round berth at SW19 after losing to Beretini after a remarkable win over Stefanos Tsitsipas and Nick Kyrgios.
The big names Ons Jaber, Angelique Kerber and Carlos Alcaraj have been selected to take action on Court One on Monday.
And it has been confirmed that, in the absence of retired champion Ash Barty, women’s number one seed Inga Sweetke will begin action on center court on Tuesday when she plays Jane Fet. Sweetek said she felt “extremely privileged” to start proceedings the next day.
With seven-time women’s champion Serena Williams returning from injury, Rafael Nadal, who won the first two men’s grand slams this year, is also expected to start his campaign on the second day.
