Jagjag Jio, starring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, has received a positive response. However, the film did not do well at the box office. The film’s box collection fell by 48.06 per cent on Monday.
The film had a good opening weekend with a collection of Rs 36.93 crore, but on the first Monday it managed to earn only Rs 4.82 crore. The total collection of the film is Rs 41.75 crore.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared on Twitter, “#JugJuggJeeyo is stable in national multiplex, running its business … #Delhi – #NCR is a major contributor … will fall on Monday [vis-à-vis Fri]: 48.06%… Fri 9.28 crore, Sat 12.55 crore, Sun 15.10 crore, Monday 4.82 crore. Jugjug Jio recorded the fourth opening weekend collection in all Hindi films of 2022 (excluding the Hindi dubbed versions of RRR and KGF: Chapter 2). Bhul Bhulaiya 2, Samrat Prithviraj and Gangubai Kathiawadi, the other three films recorded good opening collections.
Juggjug Jio revolves around childhood sweethearts Kukku (Varun Dhawan) and Naina (Kiara Advani), whose married life comes to an end and they decide to divorce. As he struggles to tell Kukku’s family about his decision, Kukku gets another shock because his father (Anil Kapoor) wants to divorce his mother (played by Neetu Kapoor).
News18’s Shosha’s film review reads, “There are problems with the movie. Some jokes bring laughter even if the old WhatsApp is forwarded. But Jagjug Jio would like to ignore it as it provides beneficial entertainment. JugJug Jio will make you laugh, cry and connect with the characters on the emotional roller coaster.” This movie is absolutely interesting, and worth the money and you should definitely watch it.
