Tony Romo won his third American Century Celebrity title in the playoffs

Stateline, Nev. – Tony Romeo won the American Century Championship for the third time on Sunday, defeating Mark Mulder and Joe Powalski on the second hole of the playoffs with a five-foot birdie.

Romo scored three points in par-5 in the 18th over as a rule and faced Mulder and Powalski for 62 points in the Modified Stableford Scoring System competition at Edgewood Tahoe.

Romo, a former Dallas quarterback and current NFL television analyst, also won at Edgewood Tahoe in 2018 and 2019.

“I had to be patient,” Romo said. “It’s great to be back. All the wins here are special, but it’s different because my kids are 10 and 8 and they were in it.”

Mulder won three games in a row from 2015 to 2017.

Anika Sorenstein and Adam Thielin are fourth with 58 points.
