Actor Salman Khan and his father, veteran writer-producer Salim Khan have received threatening letters, Mumbai Police told media on Sunday. According to ANI, an FIR has been lodged in Bandra police station against an unidentified person in the case and further investigation is underway.
According to the Times of India, the letter was received by Salim’s security personnel. The report quoted a police official as saying, “Salim Khan follows a morning routine where he goes for walks with his security personnel. There is a place where he usually takes a break. There was a chit on one side. ”
The police said that the threat mentioned in the letter was reported to the police. Police are also examining CCTV footage of the area. The threat comes after reports emerged that Salman’s security had been beefed up after Lawrence Bishnoi emerged as the main accused in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moos Wala.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Salman was once on the radar of Lawrence Bishnoi. In 2018, a Bishnoi colleague was arrested after threatening to kill the actor in an antelope murder case. “We have enhanced Salman Khan’s overall security. A senior police official told the Hindustan Times last week that “the police will be present around his apartment to ensure that there is no misconduct by the gang in Rajasthan.”
Meanwhile, Salman returned from Abu Dhabi this weekend after the end of IIFA 2022. The award show was attended by actors along with many Bollywood stars. On the work front, some of Salman’s films are ready. He has Tiger 3 along with Katrina Kaif and Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. The actor will also make a cameo in Shahrukh Khan’s Pathan.
