NFLOf Seattle Seahawks And nbaOf Portland Trail Blazers Not yet for sale, the presidents of both franchises said Tuesday.

Paul Allen’s terms have sparked growing speculation about the team’s future ownership, with Jody Allen stating that both teams will eventually be sold and that the proceeds will go to philanthropic endeavors. Most speculations are focused on the future of the trail blazer.

“As president of both the Portland Trail Blazers and the Seattle Seahawks, my long-term goal is to build a championship team that our communities can be proud of,” Allen said in a statement. “Like my brother Paul, I am confident that our leaders and coaches will build a winning team that delivers on and off the court. As we said before, no teams are for sale and sales are not discussed. “

Allen has oversaw both teams since the death of his brother in 2018 and is a trustee of their assets. She admitted that the teams would eventually be put up for sale but no timeline was set.

“There will come a time when Paul will change his plan to dedicate most of his wealth to charity, but it can take 10 to 20 years for a property of this size and complex to come to an end.

Paul Allen bought Trail Blazers in 1988 and Seahawks in 1997 to help keep the NFL franchise in his hometown. He also had a minority stake in MLS’s Seattle Sounders.
