Trailer for Rajat Kapoor’s upcoming movie RK / RKY Unveiled on Thursday. The film is written and directed by Rajat and stars in the lead role. It also stars Mallika Sherawat, Kubra Sait, Ranveer Shore, Manu Rishi Chadha, Chandrachur Rai, Abhijit Deshpande, Abhishek Sharma, Grace Girdhar and Vaishali Malhara.
The trailer tells the story of anxious director RK (Silver), who has recently completed the shooting of his film. The story takes a turn when he gets a call from his editing department saying that the film’s protagonist Mehboob is missing from the footage and negative things. The story goes further into the behind-the-scenes world of cinema where RK and his team travel in search of a hero.
The official summary of the film, which was shared with the trailer on YouTube, reads, “Filmmaker RK is playing the role of Mehboob in the new film he is shooting for. Finds the fugitive Mehboob and brings him home.Unknown he is just a movie character; Mehboob behaves like a real man.Can RK bring Mehboob back to his fantasy world and complete his film?
The film is set to release in theaters on July 22. It has been screened at several international festivals including Shanghai International Film Festival, River to River Festival in Florence, Bukian International Fantastic Film Festival, Austin Film Festival and Pune International Film Festival.
