Milwaukee Bucks guard Pat Cannon is using the 5.7 million option to return for the 2022-23 NBA season, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wozniacki on Wednesday.
Canton, a 2015 second-round pick who is about to enter his eighth season, is now eligible to sign an extension with the Bucks this off-season.
Canton, 29, averaged a career-high 9.9 points from 26.0 minutes per game in 65 games last season. He pulled down 4.2 rebounds with an average of 1.3 assists while setting individual signs with 146 3-pointers.
The Bucks increased their production after Donte Divinsenzola traded to the Sacramento Kings on a trading deadline.
