The NHL will open its 2022-23 regular season on October 11 with a heavyweight double-header, which will include a final rematch of the Eastern Conference between Tampa Bay and the New York Rangers and the Pacific Division of Los Angeles and Vegas.

Colorado won their first post-2001 title by defeating Lightning in Game 6 in the Cup final last month and thwarted Tampa Bay’s hopes of a third rematch as league champions. They will both meet twice a week during the regular season, on February 9 in Tampa Bay and on February 14 in Colorado.
