Anaheim, California – Los Angeles Angeles star Mike Trout was ruled out of Tuesday night’s game against Boston due to stiff left knee.
Three times MVP responded in the third inning to run to first base after double hitting the ball from Red Sox starter Garrett Whitlock. The trout easily moved to second place but not at full speed. When he got there he tried to stretch his legs but after talking to the coaches he got out of the game.
Trout was injured when the Angels threw manager Joe Madden into a 12-game losing streak with the club, which was a shame more than the franchise’s record. Trout endured the worst 0-for-26 drought of his career during that skid, but ended it with a drop on Monday night.
Trott hit a two-run homer in the middle of the first inning on Tuesday. For the first time since May 28, he hit several hits in a home game against Toronto. He is batting. 284 and third in the American League with 14 home runs.
Trout missed the last 119 games of the season due to left calf strain.
