Aja Wilson, 2020 League MVP and two-time Final MVP Brenna Stewart are leading the way in early return of fan voting for the 2022 WNBA All-Star Game.
After helping the Las Vegas Aces to a league-best 10-2 start, Wilson garnered 21,688 votes from all players.
At 20,866, Stewart is the only player with more than 20,000 fans. She is a steady force for the 6-5 Seattle Storm team that is still looking for progress.
Aces and The Storm have three players each in the top 10 of fan voting, as Wilson joins Las Vegas teammates Kelsey Plum (fourth place, 17,158 votes) and Jackie Young (seventh place, 12,222 votes). Seattle has Stewart, Sue Bird (ninth, 9,299) and Jewel Lloyd (10th, 9,268).
Fan voting is 50% of the total votes, with current players and media each having 25%. Voters can choose four guards and six front court players to vote.
The 10 All-Star starters will be announced on June 22, followed by the WNBA coaches selecting 12 reserves, which will be announced on June 28.
The two most voted players will serve as the team’s captains.
The WNBA All-Star Game will take place on July 10 at Chicago’s Winterst Arena and will air on ABC.
