The Atlanta Braves have placed Kenley Jensen on a 15-day injury list randomly, the team announced Tuesday.
This step is retrospective from June 27.
The Los Angeles Dodgers lost 5-3 on Sunday night. This was Jensen’s fourth blow 24 times.
The 34-year-old right-hander, who signed a 16 million deal with the Braves after spending 12 MLB seasons with the Dodgers in March, is 4-0 with 20 saves this season. He has 3.58 ERA and 47 strikeouts.
The Braves recalled Jesus Cruz to replace Janssen on the active roster. Among other moves, left-hander Tyler Matzek will begin a rehabilitation assignment with Class A Augusta on Tuesday night, and right-hander J. Jackson will continue rehabilitation work at Triple-A Gwyneth.
