After Dhakad’s failure, all eyes are on Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming projects like Tejas and Emergency. And the actress has started preparing for her upcoming projects. Kangana on Thursday gave a glimpse of her work in transforming former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for the film ‘Emergency’. She introduced Oscar and BAFTA-winning makeup artist David Malinowski, who helped transform her into a character. She shared some photos in which David is seen discussing her look and helping her with makeup.
Sharing the photo, he wrote, “Welcome to Team Emergency djmalinowski.” He added, “We are delighted to have the Academy Award winning artist for character change in an emergency.”
To keep track:
David has won many prestigious awards, including the BAFTA Award and the Academy Award. She won an Oscar for Best Makeup and Hairstyle for her work in the film Darkest Hour. She was also part of the films Wonder Woman 1984, Bohemian Rhapsody and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
Meanwhile, Dhakad, which was released in Kangana Ranaut’s last theater, made huge profits at the box office. After finishing its run at the box office, the Rajneesh Ghai directed film could not earn even Rs 3 crore. According to a recent report from the Bollywood season, the producers are facing a loss of Rs 78 crore, as Kangana’s action film has an estimated budget of Rs 85 crore. The film has grossed Rs 2.58 crore at the box office.
According to the report, the producers did not sell the digital and satellite rights of the film. Now, after the poor performance of ‘Dhakad’ at the box office, the filmmakers will have to face pressure by selling the digital and satellite rights of the film at a bargain price. Dhakad’s satellite and digital revenue is estimated to be less than Rs 5 crore.
