South megastar Chiranjeevi handed over the Indian Idol Telugu winner’s trophy to Vagdevi.
Indian Idol Telugu clinched its first title on June 18 at BVK Vagdevi.
After a long wait of four months, Indian Idol Telugu finally got the winner in Vagdevi. The grand finale, which premiered on Telugu OTT platform Aha on June 18, culminated with a shining trophy for South megastar Chiranjeevi and a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh for Vagdevi. She also got a chance to sing in the upcoming film Gita Arts.
Sharing her excitement about winning the show, Vagdevi told us, “My family is in seventh heaven right now. They are more enthusiastic than I am. This is my first victory in my entire life. The last time I won something so big, I was in second grade. So they are very proud and excited about it. ,
Vagevi said the show came to her at a time when she had no idea what to do with her life. “Indian Idol Telugu came at the right time in my life. I’m in my final year of graduation and I’m thinking about what to do next. Suddenly the show happened and I applied here and cleared the audition. Now, I am finally the winner. So it’s as if the world is signaling to me that it’s time for me to use my singing skills. ”
Vagdevi said that she wants to be a playback singer in the southern film industry. “I really want to sing for Kirti Suresh. I love it. I want to be a famous playback singer and at the same time I want to continue the classical music that I have been doing for 15 years. I have a sister and we learned to sing together so I want to share the stage with her wherever possible. ”
Meanwhile, Srinivasa finished second and bagged a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh. Vaishnavi was declared the second runner-up and given a check for Rs 2 lakh. Judges of Indian Idol Telugu were Thaman S, Nitya Menon and Karthik.
