Gareth Bale targeted the trophy with LAFC in MLS

Gareth Bale is aiming for the trophy after signing for the Major League Soccer team LAFC.

Five-time Champions League winners Bell were present, including Real Madrid, as LAFC secured their place at the top of the Western Conference with a 3-2 win over LA Galaxy.

“Playing the game is the best preparation,” Bailey said. “I want to come here. I want to play the game and make my mark and I want to do my best to win the trophy for LAFC.

“And I can help young people because it’s a very young team, guide them, see what I do in terms of professional standards and try to help them.

“The league is a growing league. It was an exciting opportunity that seemed right for me and my family.

“It’s very new but it’s really glamorous. It’s just a very attractive club.”

Bell, who joined the free transfer after the end of the contract in Madrid, was warmly welcomed in front of a crowd of California banks.

“What an incredible welcome I got when I came in,” he continued.
