Former Alabama Crimson Tide RB Keilan Robinson pawning title ring

Former Alabama left-back Keelan Robinson, who moved to Texas in 2021, mortgaged three rings he won in the Crimson Tide unbeaten season in 2020.

The SEC, Rose Bowl and College Football Playoff Championship rings are being sold by Gold and Silver Pon Shop – the home of the TV show “Pon Stars” – and are listed at $ 60,000.

Robinson’s name and number are engraved on the thumbs. He was not on the active roster in 2020, having been dropped due to COVID-19 concerns.

Over the past year, current college players have been able to sell merchandise without compromising their qualifications.

The NCAA first implemented the Interim Zero Policy on July 1, 2021, paving the way for athletes to benefit from their name, image and equality.

A number of opportunities arose, including one from LSU and Penn State, which gave any player the option to participate, giving schools the ability to sell their jerseys – including their name and number – and a portion of the proceeds.

A former four-star recruit from Washington, D.C., Robinson ran 254 yards as a newcomer in 2019 before leaving in 2020.

He moved to Texas in 2021, reuniting with head coach Steve Sarkisian, who has been Alabama’s offensive coordinator since 2019-20.

Robinson appeared in 11 games for Longhorn last season, running for three touchdowns on 322 yards and 45 carry.

Texas will host Alabama on September 10 in Austin.
