Dick Vitale’s biggest winner of the 2022 NBA Draft

The 2022 NBA draft is in the books and it started with a play.

There was a lot of speculation that Auburn’s Jabri Smith Jr. would go to number one, but Orlando Magic surprised many by choosing Paolo Banchero over Duke. I believe Magic made the right decision because they need a player with immediate impact and Banchero will fulfill that role. I think he will be a big star at the next level.

I love what the Detroit Pistons did, including Jaden Ewe and Jalen Duren. Ivey will work with Cade Cunningham to create a dynamic pairing – I love their ability. Dwayne Casey’s team should improve next season.

The Sacramento Kings will appreciate the inclusion of Keegan Murray. His versatility and scoring ability will help improve the kings. I like people who can shoot rock.

The Portland Trail Blazers faced Mystery Man, Shaden Sharp, who looks great in the video highlights. He practiced with Kentucky but did not play with the Wildcats. The key to playing in the NBA will be Sharp’s ability to react to playing conditions. It’s going to the right place to grow because the blazers are in rebuild mode.

I loved the Charlotte Hornets picking up Mark Williams from the Duke. The 7-2 defensive wizard is a formidable shot-blocker and rim defender. Michael Jordan’s club picked one player from their favorite Tar Heels’ biggest rival, but I’m confident Williams will be special in his first three years.

In it, many quality players slipped into the second round. I think Jaden Hardy in the league and Kennedy Chandler in Tennessee can contribute quickly.

The Pistons, Magic, Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs were the winners in the draft.
