Southern superstar Chian Vikram was scheduled to attend the teaser launch of his upcoming film Ponnien Slave: Eye on Friday, but was hospitalized with chest pains. The actor has been admitted to Cauvery Hospital in Chennai and is undergoing treatment.
Following the news of his hospitalization, several media reports claimed that the actor had been hospitalized after suffering a heart attack. In a post shared on his Instagram story, Vikram’s son Dhruv Vikram dismissed the news that the actor had suffered a heart attack.
Dhruv wrote, “Dear fans and well-wishers, Dad has a mild chest pain and is undergoing treatment. As the report falsely claims, he did not have a heart attack. We are saddened to hear rumors of this effect.”
He further added, “Having said that, we urge you to give our family the privacy they need at this time. Our Chian is healed now. He is expected to be discharged from the hospital in a day. We hope that this statement will provide clarity and confidence that false rumors will be curbed. “
