CLEVELAND – Cleveland Guardian right-hander Aaron Shivle was ruled out of the game with an injury to his right wrist in an innings against the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday night.
Sivale hit two hits and threw 20 pitches in a scoreless innings. Joan Moncada and Alloy Jimenez retired on fly balls caught on the warning track in the right area.
Shivle could not play a month ago this season due to a left gluten injury. The right-handed batsman made a comeback on June 21 and made his fifth start after being dropped from the injury list.
Eli Morgan replaced Shivle, who is 2-5 in 12 with an ERA of 6.17 at the start of the season.
Shivle’s middle finger was amputated last season and he was out of action from June 21 to September 7.
