Los Angeles Dodgers all-rounder Chris Taylor has a left leg fracture and will be sidelined indefinitely, he told reporters Tuesday.
In the fifth inning, Taylor was ruled out of Monday’s win over the Colorado Rockies due to a swollen ankle and a fracture in a CT scan. Taylor described the injury as a “minor fracture” but said he was not sure how long he would be out.
“We haven’t reached the stage where we’ve discussed deadlines yet,” Taylor told Spectrum SportsNet L.A. “Right now we’re taking it in stages and I don’t think we’ve set an exact date for when the potential return will be.”
Taylor, 31, is down from .238 / .319 / .409 this season with six home runs and 27 RBIs. He signed a four-year deal worth $ 60 million to return to the Dodgers last season.
The Dodgers entered the National League West on Tuesday night with a five-game lead over the San Diego Padres.
