Why should Arsenal prefer Yuri Tillemans over Sergei Milinkovic-Savic?

He has already signed Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos and Matt Turner, but is expected to hit the market for more recruitment.

The Gunners are clearly one of the areas with a central midfield as we saw them spread out in position last season.

Europa League football is also on the horizon, they will need more options in each division and midfield is already looking low in both depth and quality.

Two high-profile midfielders have been added to the North London club. While Leicester City star Yuri Tilleman is reportedly the target, the Gunners have also been linked to the Sergei Milinkovic-Savic movement.

Milinkovic-Savic come with a stronger reputation than Tyleman, but Tyleman should be preferred by Arsenal for a number of reasons.

One of the main reasons is the package of all. The price of the Milinkovic-Savic is expected to be around 70 to 80 million euros, and Lazio is always negotiating exceptionally difficult. Despite the likes of some of the biggest clubs in Europe, he has managed to keep the all-action midfielder for so many days and is not in a position to step down from his post.

Tillemans, on the other hand, are in the final 12 months of his contract with Leicester City and may be available for half of Milinkovic-Savic.

Moreover, Belgium already have experience in the Premier League which almost eliminates the risk of a flop. Milinkovic-Savic can do well in Arsenal but leaving players in foreign leagues is always dangerous.

After all, the Tylemans are two years younger than the Lazio midfielder. While Milinovic-Sevi is at its peak, Tyleman certainly represents a lot of value for money.

Arsenal have started their window well but they still have plenty of field and midfield should be at the top of that list. Both Milinkovic-Savik and Tyleman would be great combinations for gunners, but if they had to choose one, Tyleman would make more sense.
