Women's Hockey World Cup 2022: India needs to maintain consistency throughout the tournament, Vandana said

The tournament kicks off with a match between co-hosts Spain and Canada at Teresa in Spain.

India will start their campaign against England in Pool B on Sunday (July 3).

“Every match in the group stage will be important and we can’t take any team lightly. The most important aspect for us is to maintain consistency every quarter and be the best we can be without worrying too much about the competition.

“It’s something we’ve learned over the years and it’s really working for us,” Vandana said.

After England, India will play China on July 5 and then New Zealand on July 7.

Vandana said, “We played practice matches against Chile and Ireland. Both were great because we were able to practice some tactical moves for the upcoming games and always get used to the easy field. ” ,

“We have another training session and we are ready to go.

“It will be a very interesting and intense World Cup and I expect the matches to come very close as there are about five to six teams on par with each other,” said the experienced striker, who has more than 250 international matches to his name.
