Quarterback Jaden Rushdah, ranked 22nd in the 2023 ESPN 300 class, opted to join the storm on Sunday on offers from LSU, Florida, Mississippi and Texas A&M, which are committed to Miami.
Rushdie initially wanted to commit to her father’s birthday, June 18, but she postponed her grandmother’s birthday by eight days.
The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Rashada, who plays at Pittsburgh High School in Pittsburgh, California, gives new Miami coach Mario Cristobal a big boost as he tries to get the show back to publicity.
Joining Miami Killian High School wide receiver Robbie Washington (No. 280) is the second ESPN 300 recruitment for Miami in the Rashda 2023 cycle.
Rashda became the fourth ESPN 300 quarterback committed to Miami since 2020, after Tyler Van Dyke (2020), Jake Garcia (2021) and Zakuri Brown (2022).
Now off the board, with both Arch Manning (Texas) and Rushda (Miami), Dante Moore (No. 8) is the top uncommitted quarterback in the 2023 class.
