The 24-year-old had an impressive six appearances for the club in the second half of the ISL last season.
He made 17 tackles and four interceptions in the starting eleven in all six games. Dhotne also showed the ability to score once. He spent 496 minutes on the pitch before being knocked out of the last six league games by a muscle injury.
And now with the expansion, the Punjab-born footballer will be looking forward to maintaining his excellent form next season.

Dhot was part of the Indian team that was runners-up in the 2018 South Asian Football Federation Championship. In addition to playing one game for the senior national team, he represented the country in all age groups up to the under-19s.
Prior to joining Marina Scaffolding, Dhote was part of the setup of Odisha FC, formerly known as Delhi Dynamos, for four seasons of ISL, a product of AIFF Elite Academy. He has appeared in 23 matches since making his debut in 2018.
He has played 37 matches so far in his professional career, including four I-League games for DSK Shivajivians FC.

ISL: Chennai FC appoints Thomas Bradrick as new coach
In the 2020-21 ISL season, the Yellow Brigade remained in poor eighth place and failed to advance to the playoffs.
He started the ISL 2021-22 season under head coach Bozidar Bandovic before the Montenegrin coach, and after a poor result, the club decided to split in the middle of the campaign.
